My name is Chicken and I am a volunteer favorite.  I am an approximately 3 year-old female American Bulldog mix. I am full of personality and love going for walks. I also make a great running buddy!  I am on the search for a home without cats and only submissive male dogs. I have been at Speranza since the summer of 2016. I would be so grateful to find a family of my own.

I was a stray in Camp Hill and evaded police officers trying to catch me for about a week.  Finally a patient officer was able to lure me in and gain my trust with chicken nuggets.  I was putty in his hands once he fed them to me. He called Janine and brought me to the Speranza farm.

Check out my report card!

I know several basic commands, and take treats gently. I was obviously someone’s dog before.  I am a very happy dog and love human affection and attention. I am a big, goofy and still young, so I would be best in a home with older children.  I walk wonderfully on a leash and have gone hiking and running with volunteers on public trails.  I was respectful of the humans and animals walking around us and very calm and comfortable in the car.
