Hi, my name is Hope. I am an approximately six-year old female pit bull mix. I get along with
most other dogs, but I am looking for a home with no cats or kids. I love to run and play with
other dogs, but don’t get along with other alpha female dogs. I am energetic, playful and looking
for a family to show me what it is like to live in a home. I have been at Speranza since the
Winter of 2013 I would love to find a family of my own soon!

Speranza received a call about a dog curled up in the middle of the road on a freezing day in
January. I was not injured, but I was terrified and lashing out in fear. Janine managed to get me
back to the rescue, where I was given all the time that I needed to gain trust and come out of my

I would be a great dog for someone experienced with training and with time to invest in me. I
have spent my time at Speranza learning to trust and be a dog, now I am looking for someone
to teach me to become a well behaved member of a family. I will need help with basic
obedience and adjusting to life in a home.
