My name is Josie and I am an approximately four-year old pit bull mix. I am full of personality
and spunk. Swimming and playing fetch in the water are my absolute favorite activities, so if
you are looking for a beach partner, I am your girl. I am as pretty as I am fun, too. I have been
at Speranza since the summer of 2015 and am ready to find my forever family.
WANT TO KNOW MY RESCUE STORY?
One hot summer day a few kids playing in the woods behind an SPCA found me tied to a tree.
They ran and told the SPCA staff where I was. The staff searched all over for my puppies,
because it was clear that I had recently given birth and was nursing. No puppies were found, but
I was saved and would soon find myself at Speranza.
Check out my report card!
I do know some basic commands, am smart and take treats nicely. Most of the time I walk very
nicely on the leash, however if I get too excited sometimes I leash bite. I need a family who will
make sure that I break that habit. I am food motivated, so I should be easy to train. I keep a
very clean kennel, unless you give me a plush toy to de-stuff.
