Hi, my name is Lance. I am an approximately three and a half-year old plott hound/ pit bull mix. I am looking for a quiet, patient family where I will have canine at least one canine sibling. I would probably do best in a home with no small children and no cats. I am a playful boy, but I am timid and need a family to help me face my new world with confidence. I hope to find my forever home soon!
WANT TO KNOW MY RESCUE STORY?
My story is sad, but I know my future is bright. I ended up in a high-kill shelter in Georgia. It would loud and scary. The rumor is that one of the kennel staffers was abusing me. I was scheduled to cross the rainbow bridge, but Speranza heard my story and stepped up to save me. I was so scared when I arrived that I had to be carried in and out of my kennel for a week. I had an injured foot and a bad cherry eye. My eye was surgically corrected and my foot healed. Over time I have gone from completely terrified and shut down to a playful dog interested in exploring.
Check out my report card!
I have spent my time at Speranza learning to trust humans and learning to relax and have fun like a dog should. So now I am looking for a family to help me build confidence in my new surroundings and to teach me basic obedience.
