Libre the Ambassador

Libre

Have you heard my story?

In the summer of 2016, I was left to die in the hot sun and dry dirt at a Lancaster farm. I was just a puppy - only  8 weeks old. I was so sick and malnourished, I couldn’t lift my head, eat or drink. With severe skin infections, anemia and maggot-filled open sores, they say I had only hours to live.

an amazing group of volunteers rescued me!

Dr. Pryor and Janine nursed me back to health for more than a month. My story went viral!  News media all around the country covered it and I received gifts from thousands of kind people from all over the world!

I am very lucky. Janine named me “Libre” and gave me a forever home! And now, it is my mission to return the favor. I’m working to bring awareness to animal welfare issues, including:

  • Educating the public about the cruelty of puppy mills

  • Advocating for animal welfare legislation

  • Promoting the “Adopt, Don’t Shop” movement

  • Encouraging the public support of all rescue organizations
